Lots of intrigue, plot twists and outrageous characters are the hallmarks of Murder We Wrote.  Our individual murder mystery events incorporate a minimum of six actors, plus a surprise appearance from our detective to help reveal the culprit.

What Happens?

The event is fully interactive, and as the plot unfolds our actors will drop clues, reveal secrets and make sure you have plenty of laughs solving the crime along the way. Our actors do not double parts and you will get to see the body! Murder We Wrote is suitable for any age and venue, from a private party for friends at home to a grand hotel ballroom for 100 guests

 

How Long Does it Last?
Our evening events normally start around 7.15pm and conclude towards 10.00pm. These times can be altered to suit your individual needs. Our events work best when a meal is also served during the evening but we are adaptable to your requirements

What Theme Can I Choose?

We have a number of plot scripts to choose from, with different scenarios and eras to meet your requirements. ​We have our own sound system and play suitable music during the event and also we use radio mics so all our actors can be heard. We also provide pens and paper so guests can keep track of  all the clues. You can find out more about or plots HERE​

Do I Have to Dress Up?

Each of our stories is set in a specific time and while dressing up in your finest flapper dress or psychedelic 1970s flares isn't compulsory, we find immersing yourself in the era adds to the enjoyment

Do I Have to Play a Character?​

The audience don't have specific characters who are part of the plot, but if you feel the urge to be a grand aristocrat or a 1920s gangster then our actors will be delighted to help your character come to life! With Murder We Wrote, the level of participation is up to you

How Much is it?

We have different prices depending on the number of guests, type of event and venue and if you're a charity we'd be delighted to support you with our special rate. Please get in touch for more info

Payment – We don’t request a deposit. You will be invoiced for the agreed fee following the event and full payment is requested via BACS within 14 days of receipt of the invoice.
Cancellation - We operate a cancellation policy, and this will be fully explained in the contract of engagement that you will be asked to sign to confirm the booking.

Insurance – Murder We Wrote [Atlantic Coast Theatre Company] has £5 million Public Liability Insurance.
