JO LAINCHBURY

Jo has been active in the world of theatre since studying it at school, and joined a drama group at a young age, having been heavily influenced by her grandfather, parents and older sisters.

She has been a member of Abingdon Operatic, BCT, MAC and has been a long term member of Oxford Operatic Society where she had many principle roles including Calamity in ‘Calamity Jane’, Eliza in ‘My Fair Lady’, Nellie Forbush in ‘South Pacific’, Aido Annie in ‘Oklahoma’, Golda in ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, Nancy in ‘Oliver’ and Sister Mary Lazarus in ‘Sister Act’, to name but a few.

In 2019 after moving to North Devon, Jo was invited to join ‘Chivenor Military Ladies Choir’, and is thrilled to be part of this wonderful, aspiring group of ladies which she now calls her ‘extended family’. She has also performed at the Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple with BMCDS in their 2021 production of ‘Kinky Boots’.

Jo is delighted to have been invited to join the team at ‘Murder We Wrote’ and looks forward to many evenings of suspense, mystery and of course Murder!
